A strange thing happened this week. As I walked my daughter to school. I was greated by teachers with donuts to show their appreciation to the parents for the support durring the strike. Im a child of public eduction. Quite literary I was I raised by my mothers teacher. Pior to my mothers death, she would call her teacher still. Even when she turned 75, she had many students come out to her birthday party and thank her for the impact she had on them. When I had my daughter, my teachers came out and support me and my decision to keep her. They still pushed me to graduate. They in fact were the only people who ever told me graduating was possible. Even now I am supported by teachers in the fight to have the proper support for daughter. I know many of you are feeling frustrated by the situation still being the same in your classrooms. I see your pain in frustration when I talk to you. Many of you are withdrawing the extra hours you devote to your students due to the strike and its impact it had on you. Do not give up your passion while you are feeling defeated. I know the battle is long and hard but do not give up. Let it be known YOU do not now or ever have to thank me for your support as it is I who can not thank you enough for your love and dedication. Much love
