A superb and highly entertaining night of music for the Geoff - TopicsExpress

A superb and highly entertaining night of music for the Geoff Brown memorial concert. We were very well looked after by Paco and Belinda at The Bell Inn, Monks Kirby. Excellent performances from Colin Squire and Martyn Bushnell, Carole Gillespie, John McIntosh, Sue Sanders, and Sly Old Dogs themselves - Robert Brooker, Richard Rider, Nigel Ward and Paul Kenny, all on cracking form. Special thanks also to Karen Orgill and Carol. Colin Squire deserves special thanks for making it all happen and Richard for getting a decent sound out the PA. We raised £540 for the British Heart Foundation and that was partly down to some extremely generous donations of raffle prizes. It was a great privilege to entertain such a packed room, in particular Geoffs family and friends and also very exciting to play a proper PA gig with the Dogs after all this time. We have a couple more coming up soon including Tump Folk in January. Meanwhile were back at the Bell next Sunday for another of our evenings of three halves. Bloody hell its 1.45. Finishing my whiskey and time to sleep!
