A task for the school paper S.Y 2014_2015 feature story :) -rectify my mistakes if naa ha :) read if u want :3 The Hegemony of the DFSSG President The hot wind of summer permeated the covered court of Old Damulog National High School. The place was bustling with life, Supreme Student Government officers from the different places attended the 3rd Provincial Youth Congress on the 9th day of November,year 2014. We, the SSG officers of Quezon National High School walked through the crowd with a zealous manner, earning attention from the crowd, and went to the first row of seats and settled in. We said good lucks and hope-up words to our SSG president, Ms. Omar Agapay for the campaign and voting, exclusive for the SSG presidents of the different provinces for the next Division Federation of Supreme Student Government (DFSSG) officers. By the time her name was called, all eyes were laid upon her. Some of my co-SSGOs patted her shoulder and some were saying,go, Omar! You can do it! The people studied her with scrutinizing eyes as she made her way to the elevated stage with undeterred confidence. Every step she took, and with every second that ticked by, her confidence climbed. I can do this, she mumbled to herself as soon as she was on the stage. Silence fell on the crowd, making her feel the excitement and wee nervousness mingled together. Her overall persona was so commanding that we, her co-SSG officers, have no trouble imagining the fear she must instill in her co-presidents slash adversaries even before she spoke. She seemed to be adroit on speaking in public, judging from the amount of self-confidence she exuded. She oozed with charisma and poise, and we were awe stricken by her astounding words. When she finished her speech campaign, a clamor of clapping hands rippled through the entire place. She possessed the virtues and qualities a good leader must have, that is why she was then chosen as the next DFSSG president. Since the DFSSG president is from our school, we will make the next Youth Congress a more fun and commendable event. We will prove to them that they have voted the right president, said Ms. Aloma Agapay, our QNHS SSG adviser, suppressing a grin. Omar, now a DFSSG president, hefted a lot of responsibilities, but you should not doubt her for she is already well-advised to lead, judging from the years she had spent as a SSG officer and the salutary trainings she had with our SSG adviser. Don’t fret and get your hopes up for this new DFSSG president leads with an excellent hegemony!
