A teachable moment.......23rd July...... A fire broke out in one of our block corridor power switch box early in the morning, children were quickly evacuated to the assemble area. Due to our twice yearly practice on fire drill, children n teachers were able to move to the assemble area smoothly within 3 minutes. We took this opportunity to reinforce the danger of fire, the damage that fire can do to us, the prevention measurements etc. It was an enriching lesson for the children becasue they got to smell the burning , see the black smoke, the fire fighters, the policemen, the fire bike, the red rhino (mini fire engine), the police car, the ambulance, the paramedics etc
