Clearly I belong in the tropics...no flu outbreaks there, no ice - TopicsExpress

Clearly I belong in the tropics...no flu outbreaks there, no ice to make one fall down the stairs. Yes, I fell down the stairs in my bare feet trying to get Maddys latest barf bag to the trash can before the trash truck came. I took one look at my leg and said a bad word and assumed it was broke. But I got up and was able to walk shakily to the curb where I proceeded to slip again and curse again before I got rid of barf bag. Once back inside the house I showed it to Maddy who whispered, get some ice on that! Then my ears started ringing loudly and I felt nauseous! I laid down on the floor and within a few seconds my phone rang so I crawled over and got it. It was Troy ( I smiled because he always seems to call when I need him!) calling to check up on Mads. He knew something was wrong by my voice and I told him what happened and said I felt lightheaded and might pass out which I did mid sentence. He raced home to find me on the floor white as a sheet! I was feeling better by then, not sure why my body reacted that way. It is painful but clearly not broken and I can stand with all my weight on that leg. Troy got me set up in bed next to Mads with my leg elevated with ice. I am pretty pissed because I joined a gym and started running a few weeks ago and I am at the point where I look forward to it. Hopefully in a few days I will be good to go back. I promised myself no pity parties this winter, but this is not a good start!
