Soooo Sarah Jay and the kids travelled to Africa for Christmas Day 01 - landed successfully - bags didnt Day 01 - hire cars whereabouts unknown Day 02 - bags arrive - leave for Shelley Beach KZN Day 02 - 20 minutes into journey agent calls, owners have heard about us and cancelled 4 bedroom house Day 02 - agent performs Christmas miracle - finds 3 bedroom apartment - looks like a little discomfort, but will battle through Day 02 - lost some rooms in translation, now only two - Agent surprised - will fight on - looks like we will sleep on it Day 03 - have cottage 40 minutes away - looks good - owner of the cottage admits it may be a bit shit - inconvenient to stay but with little choice make the best of it - 8 into 2 does go!! Day 03 - things going well - bought frozen turkey - Woolworths - Jay picks up bag - very un-Woolworths like the bag splits - fortunately Jay big toe breaks the fall - turkey fighting back (more on this killer bird later!!!) Day 04 - Jay hobbling - but looks like nothing broken. Down to the beach - into the surf - Sarah looking cool in her glasses in the surf - look guys Sarah rolling around in the surf - shes UP - now DOWN - UP and DOWN, that was funny - LOOK NO top - look fisherman videoing incident - look no glasses - surely not prescription ???, yes?? Oh good Day 04 - SpecSavers for appointment Day 04 - Water goes off at 17:00, have pool - buckets used to operate toilet Day 05 - SpecSavers for eye test - power outage forces simpler eye test - cannot have for two weeks - Damn - thought of contacts madam??, oh say Sarah Birkenhead could use the spare one I brought along - duh Day 05 - turkey defrosted - fridge small - bird smelling a bit funky - cook it today instead should be fine - nope bird a bit of a killer - rancid - binned - is KFC open on Christmas Day?? Day 06 - Think we might have killed Santa??
