A terrible tragedy occurred at work today. We lost a friend, a brother, and a dedicated public servant in an unpredictable manner. Its important to take time to digest what happened, while also reflecting on the way Bob interacted with hid home family, and the Fire Department family. It really pisses me off that certain individuals once again use this and comments on media postings to vent their displeasure with the Administration and point fingers, stirring negative emotions about issues and such that have NO place at this sensitive time. Nothings perfect; life is short and sweet. There are bumps in the road that we all must endure. This being said, I normally dont point fingers at folks for free speech is indeed that, but there may come a time and place to vent. NOW IS NOT THE TIME!! Support the family, his co-workers, and the larger Fire Department family. I am SO tempted to rant at a certain retirees comments posted on WBALs comment page, but I will not stoop to his level of insensitivity and rudeness. He knows who he is...everyone please step back and support the Fogels, Station 2, Battalion 2, and our family at this time.
