A thought: first my condolences to the family of James - TopicsExpress

A thought: first my condolences to the family of James Gondolfini..he was having a father-son vacation and he was said to be a down to earth person who never forgot his roots. Four years ago, I could have been in Afghanistan and just died. Yet, I chose to follow up with my civilian physicians for a complete work-up prior to leaving. If I was not going I would never had gone for a routine physical because "I was OK, so there was no need". So my life was saved because I had to deploy, so I thank the military. How many of you who read this post go for a yearly physical to make sure that all is well? If you dont want to do it for yourself then do it for your family. Tomorrow may never come and your family will be left just with memories. I was blessed to be given a second chance. Please, make that appointment and get yourself a compolete physical. When I turned 50 many years ago, I asked my physician for not only an EKG but aals a thallium stress test. Be proactive about your health..for the only ones who really care are your loved ones. When we pass, we will be remembered for a few days because life continues but our families will have that sorrow in their hearts forever. You could be given a second chance if you act now!
