A tidbit about Central Catholic High School (CCH), Bloomington, IL. The 5 year average ACT score for a CCHS student is 24.5 compared to a 20.8 statewide average! Nearly 99% of the CCHS graduating Seniors attend a college or university! (All religions, denominations are welcome in a Catholic School) My thoughts...I was seriously debating whether to send Kysen to high school there, yes, I plan years in advance, until I heard a spoke with a group of older mothers that were comparing the life of their children who had gone to Catholic school and those who had not. They were talking about their childrens attitudes about life, their morals and spirituality (no specific names mentioned), their outlook on life, and the unity of the family unit... the same week I was having my doubts, God came and answered my questions. I hope we are able to afford to send Kysen to a Catholic High School. We are blessed beyond measure to be able to send him to a Catholic School, already we see the fruits of our sacrifices on his outlook on life. He may make mistakes, but at least he knows the difference between right and wrong. So thankful to be part of a St. Marys family, not only a awesome academic education, but a spiritual and emotional- a totall wholeness of and education. No need to be Catholic to send your children to a Catholic school, all are welcome! Feeling blessed...
