A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms to form, but it also means that a few storms may be capable of producing tornadoes. A tornado warning means that a tornado is either occurring or is imminent based on radar. You should take cover immediately if a warning is issued for your area. Take cover inside a sturdy building, not mobile homes or cars, and stay in an interior space as far away from windows as possible. Closets and bathrooms are safest.
