A tree is known by its fruit. Christ is the life-giver who provides the ability for each one of us to produce good fruit. By grace through faith in Christ we are able to produce good fruit. We are also able to choose to either not produce, or to instead produce bad fruit. Lord God, my prayer today is that You would search our hearts and empty our evil treasury. Help us to allow the Holy Spirit to go to work in our hearts and fill our hearts with good. Let that good treasure of our hearts overflow to lead and direct us in how we live each day of our lives. Lord, reign in our hearts!
