A truly tragic story, however, in this case homeopathy is unfairly - TopicsExpress

A truly tragic story, however, in this case homeopathy is unfairly blamed. This unfortunate child died because the parents neglected to take him to a physician and opted to treat with fennel tea. That is not a homeopathic remedy! Homeopathic remedies of course contain nothing, so fennel tea doesnt qualify. It is also unlikely that fennel tea had anything to do with the outcome other than distract from legitimate care. The father is a homeopath and his lack of scientific knowledge is to blame, not the specific therapy he administered. But this sad story does highlight the treacherous road one embarks on when not following evidence-based science. The Italian Homeopathic association weighs in with the standard statement that homeopathic remedies cannot cause side effects, which is true, but has nothing to do with this case. telegraph.co.uk/health/alternativemedicine/8844461/Parents-face-inquiry-for-treating-son-with-alternative-medicine.html
