A very Christian friend (I use quotes as thats their description of themselves, not mine) just posted this FALSE meme on Facebook this morning...Sunday morning I might add. Im sharing this not to discuss politics, as I said this isnt even true, but I wanted to give an example of why I have such difficulty aligning with churchgoers. These kind of group-think, elitist, judgmental statements tell me that there are far too many people who just dont get it, and I dont want to EVER be a part of that. If I dont go to church I am judged. Im not baptized, so I am judged. If I believe something different, even if Im doing good things in the world I am judged by people who call themselves Christians, but whose actions and core beliefs go against the teachings. I cant align with that. I honestly think that people like this should be cast out of churches, and perhaps people who are loving toward others, who want the world to be a kinder place would flow in. Im one of those people on the outside.
