A very nice ice-hockey story: A few days ago, my daughter Jelena played an international ice-hockey tournament World Selects Invitational in Budapest, for the girls U19. There were 6 teams from Russia, USA-Canada, Sweden, Slovakia, Germany and Hungary. In the semifinal, Hungary was playing against USA-Canada, and during the game I started to talk with two moms from the opponents team, about hockey, their impressions about Hungary, about our girls and so on. The game ended with USA-Canada victory (1-0), and after it I congratulated one of the winning moms. She was very happy for that, and asked me to receive a present from her. She took a large backpack from her back, and gave me a few things from it: a T-shirt with American meese-hockey players, a little bottle of maple syrup, and a moose souvenir. She explained me that she had bought those souvenirs for the parents of their opponents, just to show that Canada is very friendly country. She told me that she lives in Toronto, and her daughter is a goalie in Toronto Maple Ieafs. I was really surprised and touched. Shas made my day better, although weve lost the game. Thats why I like ice hockey so much.
