A very special wish goes out to my husband Kamal, every year I think he will not be able to make it through the long hours of fasting, I would like to share the journey that Kamal takes during his days of fasting........He would wake up at 3.30am prepare his sehri, say his prayers and would return to bed about 4.30am just to lay there for about half hour and would be up again to get ready for work. The drive to work is long and often would be even longer when dropping me off for my long runs. Battling the traffic from one court house to another.........from city to city.......with the heat at its highest point. Picking me up at the end of the day and would hit the road again for our long journey home often breaking his fast in the car and reaching home at 8 or 9pm and not getting into bed till midnight and having only 3 to 4 hours of sleep. I am very proud of him, he proves me wrong every year.......in spite of age and all his ailments he comes out victorious every year.........may God bless you always and may your Eid day be a glorious celebration..................
