A very windy and much colder day is on tap for Monday. Some brief rain showers, mixed with snow along the Benches (in the early part of the day), and a little accumulation in the mountains is possible by early afternoon. Canyon winds will develop Wednesday, as the coldest air of the season pushes over Northern Utah, but modifies and cools as it moves into Southern Utah. Showers of valley rain and mountain snow will develop on Thursday and continue at times through Saturday in the North. Temperatures warm a little in the North, but continue to cool in Utahs Dixie and along the Arizona Strip. Some snow will mix with the rain showers along the Wasatch Front by Saturday, while another cool-down will start early next week. It will start to feel more like November, after the warm start.
