A very worthwhile production to be a part of by our friend and someone who worked hard early on to build the Nevada SAG Conservatory, Kim Russell, of the Smith Center Educational Center. The Las Vegas Clark County Library District is presenting Tuskegee Love Letters by Kim Russell and directed by Clarence Gilyard, February 28, March 1 and March 7, 2015. 702 Entertainment LLC is currently casting the production. Auditions are being held at the West Charleston Library, 6301 West Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146; Saturday, January 10, 2015, 10 am and Monday, Monday January 12 - 5:30 pm Interested actors and actresses should prepare two memorized, contrasting monologues from published plays. The performance time for both pieces must not exceed three minutes. CASTING: African American male aged 21-35 and two females ages 21 through 60. You may request a copy of a monologue from the show from kim@speakersontour SYNOPSIS: TLL follows the lives of an African American pilot and his wife as newlyweds during wartime to entrepreneurs during peace time. Together they battled the loneliness of war, wrestle with racial segregation and triumph to pursue their dreams until their appointment with destiny. The story begins in 1939 and continues through present day.
