A virtuous woman is a woman of strength, made strong by wisdom, grace, and the fear of Adonai ~ Pro 31:10 א Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far beyond that of pearls. Pro 31:11 ב Her husband trusts her from his heart, and she will prove a great asset to him. Pro 31:12 ג She works to bring him good, not harm, all the days of her life. Pro 31:13 ד She procures a supply of wool and flax and works with willing hands. Pro 31:14 ה She is like those merchant vessels, bringing her food from far away. Pro 31:15 ו Its still dark when she rises to give food to her household and orders to the young women serving her. Pro 31:16 ז She considers a field, then buys it, and from her earnings she plants a vineyard. Pro 31:17 ח She gathers her strength around her and throws herself into her work. Pro 31:18 ט She sees that her business affairs go well; her lamp stays lit at night. Pro 31:19 י She puts her hands to the staff with the flax; her fingers hold the spinning rod. Pro 31:20 כ She reaches out to embrace the poor and opens her arms to the needy. Pro 31:21 ל When it snows, she has no fear for her household; since all of them are doubly clothed. Pro 31:22 מ She makes her own quilts; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Pro 31:23 נ Her husband is known at the city gates when he sits with the leaders of the land. Pro 31:24 ס She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchants with sashes. Pro 31:25 ע Clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come. Pro 31:26 פ When she opens her mouth, she speaks wisely; on her tongue is loving instruction. Pro 31:27 צ She watches how things go in her house, not eating the bread of idleness. Pro 31:28 ק Her children arise; they make her happy; her husband too, as he praises her: Pro 31:29 ר Many women have done wonderful things, but you surpass them all! Pro 31:30 ש Charm can lie, beauty can vanish, but a woman who fears Adonai should be praised. Pro 31:31 ת Give her a share in what she produces; let her works speak her praises at the city gates. CJB
