A week or so ago, I went to my hairstylist, Lauren Janae Courtney, to get a haircut and coloring. As we finished and I was pulling out my checkbook to pay her, I was told that someone else had already paid for my fabulous new do! She said that someone had come in and wanted to pay it forward, since they had recently felt blessed. I can remember standing there, trying to soak it into my consciousness, listening to Lauren talk. I was trying to tell her to let me pay it forward with me paying. She insisted no. I have been plotting and planning ways I can help pay it forward to someone else. Today, I was talking to her mother and she said some really good words of wisdom. Accept the gift, acknowledge it and feel blessed, then go on. I have thought of that and come to the realization that is correct. If I do anything, I will have bought my gift, which then isnt a blessing. Sooo, I am telling God thank you for someone showing His love. I am feeling so unworthy but so enriched that someone had a feeling of being blessed and passed it on.
