A wide variety of advocates and speakers, from legislators and business leaders to minimum wage workers, came together recently in support of an increase in the federal minimum wage. AFSCME Pres. Lee Saunders led the rallying cry at the event, held inside the Capitol in Washington, DC. He called on all legislators to do the right thing by American families and vote to raise the federal minimum wage.
