A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. Proverbs 14:1 Means a smart woman takes care of her husband, children and home. This verse speaks of the wise and unwise as far as a wife within her household. A woman who is wise will do everything in her power to have a happy household starting with obeying God in the role he gave her to play in the family he blessed her with. However, a wife who is not wise or is foolish will tear down and promote an unhappy household by disrespecting and undermining her husband, by not being a complement to him or by not encouraging him and by speaking negatively to and about her husband. Therefore, by not showing respect to his headship and things of that nature, like constantly nagging him or whining and complaining, a foolish woman does not promote a happy home and creates misery for all in the home, including herself. Be your husbands pride and joy! Be his biggest fan and soft place to land! Be the blessing to him that God intended you to be! Your price will be far above rubies!
