A wonderful radio interview: Neil Gaiman on NPR. Id just gotten out of a doctors appointment :D and turned on NPR to catch the news headlines. On Point with Tom Ashbrook came on after the news and I was about to go channel surfing for classical music when Tom announced his guest for the hour as Neil Gaiman. Ah, forget the music. What a charming and thoughful man ! A lot of talk about his comic book and his regular books. Even about the intellectual video game he created about being a ghost and trying to scare folks out of your house. But both Tom and Neil had to talk about Doctor Who. Neil told the story of when he was 3 and he saw older kids playing with milk bottles, pretending they were Daleks. He was hooked. Talked about watching at Grandmas house, hiding behind the sofa and loving every minute of it. How writing for DW was the Dream Job . How when the show came back in 2005, it bonded him and his 12 year old daughter. And how he just loved it, intellect over might, brains over brawn. What a splendid fellow to listen to. - David onpoint.wbur.org/2013/11/25/neil-gaiman-sandman-overture
