A year ago today, Momma had surgery due to her 4th diagnosis of cancer. It has assuredly been a year filled with lots of miles, smiles and prayers. I am so grateful for every person God placed in Mommas life through her battles with cancer. I certainly do not have to look hard to see His hand on us in so many ways each and every day. Blessings truly abound. So today we went to Jackson for Mommas check up and body scan. For those of you who have called her name to our Lord Almighty, we are forever thankful! And now I ask you to give a prayer of thanksgiving. To hear the oncologist say your scan looked great! No cancer cell big enough to be detected! Your skin looks great and Mrs Latham, YOU LOOK GREAT! ! I will be the first to tell you there are times I cannot help but have tears of complete joy streaming down my cheeks.. God is so good! It is so humbling to know of the prayers lifted for us! Jehovah Rapha, God who heals, is full of so much grace and mercy. January 13.2015 has been quite differently than January 13, 2014.. Sara Ann and I had a wonderful day filled with lots of smiles, giggles and memories made .. It reminded me of one of Mommas teachings when we were little.. She has always told us that love and laughter are salve for the soul.. Im not sure many younguns know what a salve is but Jeff, Brad and I certainly do and it was always thick and soothing..So yes, love and laughter are very much a salve for your soul.. It has been a great day!! Romans 8:28
