A young man rushed to take his seat on the plane, hed been running - TopicsExpress

A young man rushed to take his seat on the plane, hed been running late all day so the flight from New York to L.A. would be a good time to rest. First he shoved his carry on bag in the storage compartment above him and flopped in his seat. He had not notice the tiny old woman that sat beside him. But when he did she was peering out the window and seemed nervous about the flight. She reminded him of his grandmother. Hi, my name is Tom, are you okay? he asked her. She said she was fine just concerned because it was her first time flying. The two struck up a good conversation and Tom began to tell her about his adventurous life; he had showed her his tattoos, told her about him skiing and climbing mountains with the scars to prove it. How old are you Tom, she asked. Im 36 and I feel like Im still 21, he answered moving around in his seat. Thats wonderful baby but I notice you spoke a lot of yourself only and I want to ask you, tell me about your plans after this life? She had stumped Tom, his physical resume was impeccable, materialistically the real estate broker had also done well but he did not understand his plan after life. Tom had been to church and believed in God but other than life insurance (which is for the living) he had no plan. Before he could answer she told him this: You young people are so concerned with what you put on and in your bodies, you scramble to attain things that are meant to signify you have made it in life. The cars, the scars (adventures) but what about your souls and what truly is the profit if you gain the approval of the world and lose it. You seem very nice Tom but your gift and means were not just given to you and your inner circle; it was given by God to bless you to be a blessing. Please take this with you on your journey; that each one is to teach one to reach one. That your spiritual resume is full of selfless acts and not the selfie information of this generation. It is correct to love yourself as long as it falls in this order: love God first in order to love ones self and others (repeat in sequence).
