A youth-focused cultural diversity and racism workshop, and a - TopicsExpress

A youth-focused cultural diversity and racism workshop, and a corresponding community launch event will be held in Swan Hill on Wednesday February 12. A portable studio will then be set up at the Swan Hill Regional Library for two weeks to record peoples thoughts on the issues involved. Together, they form Talking Difference. This program is being run by the Immigration Museum, VicHealth, Swan Hill Regional Library and Artistic Merit. It will be a great opportunity for local youth to have direct involvement in conversations about cultural diversity and racism and get our community to think more about these issues in a positive manner. The workshop on Wednesday 12 February is targeted at youth but will be open to anyone. The aim of the workshop is to develop some questions which will get people thinking about racism, isolation and cultural differences. The questions developed at the workshop will then be posed to the community who can record their responses in the portable studio which will be located in the Swan Hill Library for 2 weeks from 12 February to 24 February.
