ABS AFTER BABY *Crunchless Abdominal Exercises to help treat diastasis recti* Remember to engage your core: You engage your core (transverse abdominal muscle and pelvic floor) by gently exhaling, drawing your belly button back towards your spine (as if trying to touch it). Mid-way through your exhale, draw your pelvic floor upwards (imagine youre trying to stop a pee midstream). Hold this contraction, then release on your inhale. Top video: Exhale and engage your core as you bring your knee in, and inhale and relax as you extend your leg out. Bottom video: Exhale and engage your core as you extend your legs/bring your knees apart and, inhale and release as you bring your legs/knees together. Try adding three sets of 12 - 15 repetitions to your next core workout. #diastasisrecti #absafterbaby
