ABUBAKAR INUWA TATA(AIT) FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: THE SCHOLARSHIP - TopicsExpress

ABUBAKAR INUWA TATA(AIT) FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: THE SCHOLARSHIP WITH A DIFFERENCE. We are not expected to try ignorance just because education is expensive, but it is not easy for the children of the poor. The rigorous of learning, nowadays, and financial inadequacies are simply incompatible and therefore the need for assistance in such a form as scholarship. Abubakar Inuwa Tata(AIT) Foundation scholarship is with a difference not just because of the associated all educative annual lecture series, but also for the fact that the scholarship is targeting only those that really need it, unlike the kind of scholarship we see where the beneficiaries parent can take care of not only their children but also children from neighboring houses if really they are supportive. As a scholarship, dont give N50,000 to someone that will add N10,000 to buy the latest smartphone, instead, give even N5,000 to someone that will buy either of drawing materials, textbook, foodstuff; or pay for his rent. In continuation of the Foundations annual lecture series, this years paper — Rethinking Government Financing of Education in Gombe State - An Unconventional Measures — as presented by the President of the Foundation, Abubakar Inuwa Tata, is a document that needs line by line examination by the current Dankwambo led administration that 100% believes, as a prerequisite of having a viable and dependable society devoid of Kalare, in promoting the educational sector in Gombe state. The paper have done every justice to the current administration in its massive infrastructural development and increasing budgetary allocation of the educational sector and to the educational sector respectively. Adopting the principle of privately managed(not owned) schools, as contained in the paper, will be highly beneficial to the state government as to get rid of all the unqualified teachers more especially in our primary and even secondary schools, and also for effective management of the new structures on ground. Gombe state have just came out from an era where Babale Makera, as a redneck in whatever level of the educational sector, is qualified to recruit his more or less illiterate wife or dropout children as teachers in public schools, something that needs to be revisited under a government with first priority education, second priority education and third priority education. Apart from the Executive Chairman GSSC Malam Farouk Yarma, only the representative of the Permanent Secretary ministry of Higher Education, Mr Maxwell Wakaye, were in attendance on the side of government; not motivational one might say. Babale Makera was there only on his own, but he still want to seizes this nobly opportunity to thank the state Executive Governor Alh. Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo OON for transforming the educational sector of the Savannahs Jewel, and also to call on him to continue doing exactly the same in terms of recruiting qualified teachers to balance the equation. As usual with him, the Gombe State Sports Commissions Executive Chairman, Malam Farouk Yarma, also assisted each and every of the beneficiaries with an amount equivalent to 50% of what AITs Foundation gave them; highly commendable indeed. May ALLAH continue to bless the good people of Gombe state with the likes of Aubakar Inuwa Tata and Umar Farouk Yarma.
