ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS Mr. Speaker Sir, on accounting systems, Government will undertake the following: - i. Engage the system supplier to profile all suspicious transactions; ii. Review the system’s gaps and take corrective measures; iii. Conduct reconciliation of all Government accounts at Reserve Bank of Malawi and Commercial Banks; iv. Revoke all IFMIS user rights and details of new users created in the system upon switching on of IFMIS on November 1, 2013; v. Implement systems to enforce ceilings of funding with IFMIS and RBM; vi. Embark on daily Bank reconciliations; and vii. Engage an ICT Security Officer.
