ACF INTERNATIONAL ACF INTERNATIONAL is a humanitarian, voluntary, non-governmental (N.G.O.), non-religious, non-political and non-profit organization. ACF has been providing assistance to vulnerable populations in the Philippines since May 2000 in sectors of food security, water and sanitation, health and nutrition, emergency relief, disaster risk reduction and rural development. Food Security & Livelihood (FSL) Technical Supervisors Cotabato City and Kidapawan City RESPONSIBILITIES: The Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Technical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the FSL Head of Program (HoP) in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring FSL projects in the operation areas. The position will implement and supervise the technical field activities in collaboration with the beneficiary communities and partners. It will mentor and coach the community organizers (COs) of partner-NGOs on the technical aspect of project interventions in the community in the end view of capacitating the COs to sustain the technical assistance to the communities after the end of the project. Tasks: Assist the HoP in the preparing workplan, planning, pre-implementation activities, coordinating with LGUs and all stakeholders and in conducting training and workshops Supervise the COs in the technical component of any surveys required for the work (Baseline, TNAs, Assessment surveys and studies). Organize and provide guidance on FSL technical aspects to the community organizers in the field activities. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to COs in the field for the successful implementation of FSL projects. Provide regular technical assistance to FSL beneficiaries in sustainable quality production/services and business management REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, and community development or any related field More than 2 years of professional experience in working with (I)NGOs, donor-funded programs in humanitarian operation or in development projects doing food security and/or livelihood projects with emphasis on but not limited to food aid programming, agriculture, livelihood, and natural resources management Experience in participative planning, household surveys and need assessments including the supervision of team members in the conduct of such. Demonstrated experience with participatory approaches to development, including capacity building of local institutions. Good understanding and experience in Income Generating Activities and rotating fund schemes Good grasp of English language in written and spoken is essential apart from Filipino (Maranao, Maguindanaon or Iranon is an advantage). Must be willing to be assigned in Cotabato/Kidapawan, with frequent visits to operation areas within the region.
