ACTION ALERT - Harvard Sodastream Action ! #BDS Please send your message and share this ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, I am a Harvard alum and former member of the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee. In light of the recent push by University President Drew Faust and Provost Alan Garber to rescind the University decision to stop all Sodastream purchases, the group has put together a media statement with contact information for relevant people. We are asking all who can to please take action on this! Best, Eliza Please email folks below (individually or in mass), and call President Faust directly. Our official statement, emails, phone, and email template below. mondoweiss.net/2014/12/sensitivity-palestinian-sodastream President Drew Faust: [email protected] Presidents phone number: (617)-495-1502 Provost Alan Garber: [email protected] Dean of the College Rakesh Khurana: [email protected]. Interim Dean of the College (at that time) Donald Pfister: [email protected] Dean of Student Life Stephen Lassonde: [email protected], Professor Diana Eck: [email protected], Director of the Harvard Foundation Professor Allen Counter: [email protected], Bruce Calvert, HUDS Director of Residential Dining Operations: [email protected] David Davidson, Managing Director of HUDS: [email protected] If you need help writing an email, you can use this general template: I am proud that Harvard University and HUDS have decided to stand with students who support the Palestinian struggle for human rights. The SodaStream company has long operated its factory on an illegal Israeli settlement in the occupied Palestinian West Bank. Such West Bank settlements have been universally condemned, including by the UN and the Obama Administration, as a direct infringement of Palestinian rights and an impediment to the peace process. Palestinian students at Harvard have themselves faced direct repercussions of these settlements, which many of them refugeed or displaced directly as a result of settlement infringement on their familys land. We hope that Harvard’s show of support for the worldwide move to respect the rights and human dignity of Palestinians will inspire further support and discussion on the issue on campus and around the world. We hope that Harvard stands by its decision to stop buying from the anti-Palestinian SodaStream. The Harvard, US American, and International community supports you.
