ADDRESS BY THE CHAIRMAN OF CONCERNED YOUTH FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE ADAMAWA STATE FOR A CLARION CALL ON MALLAM NUHU RIBADU TO COME AND SERVE ADAMAWA STATE UNDER THE PLATFORM OF PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY. (PDP) All protocols dully observed. It is my humble honor privilege and gratitude to address you on this historical occasion of trying to get an alternative to the deplorable condition of our state Adamawa State. As you are fully aware of the problems of Adamawa State especially as it affects our cooperate existence and Vice versa our developmental strive, we found it necessary to initiate a movement that would bring sanity in to the state through much accepted norms of democracy. It is based on this understanding and due consideration, we call on all meaningful citizens of Adamawa State to support our crusade of saving the state from total collapse. In a nutshell the content of this initiative is to strengthen our cooperate existence as a people of the state historical background living together for over 200 years. As of now, part of the strategies to bring sanity into the state is closely related to bringing in a well deserved person as its Chief Executive to stir the state out of the present mess. That personality should be a man of excellent moral background proper orientation integrity impeccable character and with a good track of service, these should be the qualities that would determine the future leadership of our dear state. It is in the light of the mentioned reasons and considering our present political and economic circumstance in the state that we call on Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to come out and salvage our situation by agreeing to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and contest the forthcoming Governorship election. As we all stakeholders of the rulling PDP in the state we assure him of our support and urge him to see all parties in Nigeria as the same, so a call to join the largest political party in Africa to bring the desired positive change to the people of Adamawa State has become necessary. This is more so because in the Nigerian Political system parties are only used as platform for electoral purposes not for ideological differences. In Nigeria the PDP remains the only platform that can guarantee electoral victory because of its teeming supporters. Our research and findings reveal that the PDP is well rooted with over 70% support base in Adamawa State. This percentage of PDP in the state when blended with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu’s caliber definitely our Adamawa State would be moved forward and expectedly in the next coming four years. It would bridge the gap of under development the state witnessed in the last 15 years. Nobody doubts his integrity and personality. Therefore Adamawa State situation call for his total sacrifice to come on and salvage mission. Lamentation of the state deplorable condition here is rather to not too important because it is glaring hence ours is to sought for solutions of the problem the state is currently facing. We are therefore soliciting for Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to come and contest for Governorship of the state under our great party the PDP this is in recognition of his personal service to our great nation and his international reputation we urgently need his personal commitment to come and salvage Adamawa State from total collapse. In conclusion we are convinced that this call can actualize the desired goal and aspiration of the people of Adamawa State, Thank you.
