ADHD and Restlessness webpage view | donate | free newsletters | share Dear Keith, Jillian was identified as having ADHD when she was a junior in high school. Was she upset about this? On the contrary! In fact, she was relieved. Finally, she had an explanation for being what she describes as restless and impulsive in her high school classrooms. At a very young age, you’re taught to raise your hand when you want to participate…This idea made perfect sense to me; in reality, though, I would blurt out the answer or comment on a topic as if there were no other students in the classroom. Over time, Jillian developed strategies that helped her succeed. Find out how she managed her “internal restlessness” in high school and college. Sincerely, The NCLD Team P.S.
