ADMIN Notice: Another Milestone Quietly Passed Sometime this week the number of ‘Friends’ and ‘Followers’ of this page snuck quietly past 50,000 people. At this point in time I would normally mention the sizable amount of time I spend working behind the scenes but I don’t think I need mention that again. Most of the regular page readers and contributors are well aware of a lot of the behind-the-scenes tasks that I do. But I would like to acknowledge the core page readers who have remained active on the page for nearly two years now and who are the source of many of the great video clips and pics that are featured on this page. Without the contribution that these people make to this page, the page would be far less entertaining. The fact that most of the visual content of my page is sourced from the page readers themselves, means that it tends to appeal to the broad page readership regardless of country of origin. Just so the average page reader can get an idea of the reach of this page and how well it is ‘ticking over’ I would like to quote the statistics from a recent clip that I posted to the page. I am referring to the clip of a civilian trained attack dog. The clip was titled ‘Boston Protection Dog – A Dog Trained For The Street’ and I posted it 5 days ago on 5 October 2014. At the time of writing this Admin Notice that clip has received; - Only 56 comments, but those 56 comments generated 5,769 ‘Likes’ on their own - A modest 137,197 ‘Shares’ - An impressive 474,874 ‘Likes’ and - A very impressive 13,153,525 ‘Views’ I look at those statistics and I wonder why it only got 56 comments??? So I looked at those 56 comments and noticed that one of the comments alone got 1,142 ‘Likes’... but I’m going to exclude that comment because it was about a cat! The next highest scoring comment was one that rated 486 ‘Likes’. That comment was one of mine and it was somewhat of an Admin Notice, but that one comment caused me to receive over 400 direct messages from people wanting me to attack train their dogs or for me to sell them a fully trained attack dog. Each of those 400 messages was replied to….. Most of them received a very courteous reply…. Some not so courteous a reply. The type of reply they received was based purely on the content of their message to me. Probably the less said about that the better. :) So thank you all for being part of the 50,000 Friend/Follower milestone. I hope it is one of many more to come. ;)
