Sadly, Smoke was surrendered by an owner after 12 years that didn’t feel they had time to care for him anymore. In his former life, Smoke lived as an outdoor dog. This joyful senior is WAY too much of a people-focused dog to spend his days alone in a backyard. He needs a new, loving home that will welcome him in the house and include him in daily activities. You’d never guess that Smoke is 12 years old. He is spry, in great physical shape, has a medium-plus energy level AND when playing can bounce four feet off the ground, higher than he is tall! Smoke does great with dogs, cats and kids. He always waits to be walked outside his kennel before going to the bathroom—he’ll be fast and easy to housetrain.
