ADVERTISEMENT English Language Assistant The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is an international humanitarian NGO providing development services in Yemen since 1995. ADRA invites applicants to apply for the position of English Language Assistant for Support for Urban Refugees Project based in Sana’a. Responsibilities: • Maintains workflow by studying methods; implementing procedures; and developing reporting procedures. • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, filing, and implementing changes authorized by the language coordinator. • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions with the Language Coordinator and Community Mobilizer. • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and teacher’ s schedules, room assignments, and class assignments as well as expediting work results by utilizing a database. • Facilitates the administrative process by administering the interview portion of the placement exam, scoring the placement exams. • Creates the identification cards for students and enters them into the database. • Register students. • Attend weekly meetings with staff and supervisor if needed. • Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor in English is preferred. • Good experience in this field. • Reporting, Administrative Writing, communication and Microsoft Office skills. • English proficiency at least intermediate level is required and Arabic. • Knowledge of working with a database is plus.
