ADVICE NEEDED for special mom post# T0012 My daughter was born weighing 2.7 lbs. She was in the NICU for 7 weeks. I have had her tested for Autism Spectrum, and several other things, and I have been told she is simply delayed. It is difficult to find a support system because this is not something that is obvious or that people really talk about. She is going to be 13 in February and she is more like a 9 or 10 year old, and has no concept for math and shes lovable, but does not have normal social skills. I thank God for her every day because everyone loves her, and Ive been told multiple times by teachers/staff at the schools that she brightens their day. But it would be nice if I knew someone whose child had the same issues, maybe it would make things easier to deal with. Any suggestions?
