ADVICE PLEASE!! No bashing or negative comments. Im emotionally distraught as is. Thanks. Okay. I have a 16-18 yrs old cat. My mom adopted her for me when I was 9. She was about 3 then. Lately past few months shes kinda given up on life I guess. She used to weigh 15 or so lbs...yes she was a spoiled fat and happy cat. Now shes basically skin and bones. She refuses to eat or drink and hides in spots for days on end. Shes allergic to fleas and theyve gotten her so bad this year. Ive done everything I know how to do. Her skins yellowing her hairs coming out and she looks like she has a eye and nose infection. Most times I cant get her to move unless I give her a bath or am able to pull her our of an easy hiding spot which isnt always easy....everyone Ive talked to told me shes ready to go...is that true? I dont want to keep her suffering and I dont want to put her down. Im torn. I know shes old but I cant stand to see her slowly wasting away.... Im looking for advice from someone who has has an old animal and what they did. :(
