AFGHANISTAN: Ashraf Ghani and rival Abdullah Abdullah signed an agreement on a government of national unity Sunday. The two had been locked in a dispute since the presidential election ended in June. Under the deal, Ghani took the office of president while Abdullah was named to the role of chief executive, equivalent to prime minister.
