AGRIBUSINESS OVERVIEW Agribusiness division focuses on the financial sustainability through the development of agriculture. Agribusiness loans are made available to add value to the agriculture industry that shall continue to address the challenge of poverty and unemployment. The Agribusiness sector comprises of three products being Mainline, Young Farmers and Ipelege. The Mainline refers to agribusiness loans for citizens aged above 40 years and the limit is P500.00 to P4, 000,000.00. Ipelege loans refers to the seasonal loans for rain-fed at a limit of P500.00 to P500, 000.00. There is no age limit for a citizen to qualify for Ipelege. Young Farmers - refers to loans that are for youth involved in agribusiness aged between 18 and 40 years. The limit under this product ranges from P500.00 to P500, 000.00 Criteria for funding • Citizens aged 18 years and above. • For Young Farmers, the loan the age limit ranges from 18 to 40 years. Loan Limit The loan limits are as follows; • P50, 00 to P500, 000 (5%) • P500, 001 to P4, 000,000.00 (7.5%) • Applicant will also be eligible for loans up to P30 million which are given at the prevailing prime lending rate under the Structured Finance product. Subsectors within Agribusiness We finance the following subsectors. • Horticulture, Cattle Breeding, Small Stock, Poultry, Piggery, Dairy, Rain Fed. Minimum requirements per subsector For the department to operate efficiently the following minimum requirement must be met as the pre-screening criteria when dealing with debt funding applications relating to Horticulture, cattle breeding, small Stock and Piggery as well as layers and broilers.
