AIRFRANCE, KLM, DELTA & Alitalia NETWORK A380 flight to Shanghai strengthens Air France – KLM ’s network to China Since September 2nd 2013, three of Air France’s 13 weekly flights will be operated by Airbus A380 on the Paris-Shanghai route. Air France is the first airline to connect France and China with the A380 which provides enhanced passenger comfort and network efficiency. This new service strengthens the Air France-KLM Group as the European leader between Europe and China, operate 93 weekly flights from their hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol to 9 destinations in Greater China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen and Taipei). Air France – KLM expand travel options to India Air France – KLM and Jet Airways will offer their customers more destinations between Europe and India thanks to mutual code-share agreements which will let Air France and KLM market flights under their flight numbers to key Indian cities. Although Air France and KLM together offer 27 weekly flights between their Paris and Amsterdam hubs and India, this arrangement will significantly improve the choice of beyond flights for Air France-KLM customers to Indian cities. Alitalia’s network enhancements and increased frequency Alitalia continues to offer daily service between New York-JFK and Milan, with a three class cabin including seats that convert to full flat-beds in Business Class, complementing Delta’s daily service in the market. In March, Alitalia introduced 9 new international routes from Rome, supporting its Intercontinental network development with the introduction of 6 long-haul aircrafts in the next three years. In May, Alitalia also resumed seasonal service from Rome-Fiumicino to Los Angeles and Chicago and increased its presence at New York-JFK by introducing additional flights. Delta continues to grow its gateway in Seattle Delta offers an unmatched global network with new service at Seattle, offering new daily nonstop service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to London-Heathrow Airport as of March 2014. This service will be operated using a 210-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft featuring 35 full flat-bed seats in BusinessElite, 32 seats in Economy Comfort and 143 Economy class seats. This new offer gives Delta’s customers nonstop access to one of the world’s top business markets and is an important enhancement to Delta’s growing trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific network from Seattle. Through its trans-Atlantic joint venture with Air France-KLM and Alitalia, Delta also offers Seattle area travellers nonstop service to Paris and Amsterdam while also providing connecting service to more than 150 additional destinations beyond those European hubs.
