Tomorrow I plan to test out my flying field. I have flown out at Lab Land before, but mostly it was difficult at best, keeping my plane out of the trees. With the trimming of the limbs due to the snow storms the last two springs, there is a lot more room to fly. I still have to stay out of the trees at each end of the field, but that seems much more doable now. All I have to do now is get the two stumps out of the field, I drilled holes in them some Epson Salts on them and we will see what happens in the spring. They will rot out, I hope. This will work out great for my Flutter-Bys and my micro planes. They should be easy to fly in this area. What I have to fly in is about the same size at the Horizon Indoor Electric Festival, I have the length pretty well defined, the depth is about half of what the dome is, so flying outside and then moving inside should be pretty easy. I have to figure out a runway, still debating on what to use. I have to be able to move it each time, so I am thinking a tarp of some sort. That way I can mow the area, put the tarp down, then take it up each time and still have the area for Susan to use for her tracking camps. We shall see what happens. I could also get some shrink wrap and use it. Another thought. Hummmm
