AKS2015: Bassey Albert makes INEC list as Uyo Senatorial District PDP Candidate By Promise Etim The standard bearer of the Peoples’ Democratic Party for Akwa Ibom North East in the 2015 general elections, Obong Bassey Albert has confirmed his inclusion by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as candidate of the party for the position. The former commissioner made this known via his facebook account and thanked his supporters for standing by him throughout the primaries. Mr. Albert emerged candidate of the PDP for the Uyo Senatorial District following a landslide victory during a primary election held at the Uyo Township Stadium on the 7th of December, 2014. “To all my friends and well wishers, I can authoritatively inform you that after series of intense horse trading, that my name has finally been submitted to INEC as the candidate of our great party PDP for Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District in the coming general elections”, he said. Obong Albert also thanked God for a successful campaigning and promised to deliver effective dividend of democracy to the people in the next political dispensation.
