AKWA IBOM STATE NEWSFLASH The Executive Secretary of Christian Pilgrims Commission, Mr. John Kennedy Opara, says 3500 Christian pilgrims from Abia, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Imo States are to be airlifted this year from the Akwa Ibom International Airport to the Holy Land. Mr. Opara commended the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, for the rapid transformation of the State, saying that Gov. Akpabio has laid a solid foundation for the State’s future. The Christian Pilgrims Commission Secretary also extolled Gov. Godswill Akpabio for the quality of infrastructure at the Akwa Ibom International Airport, saying that the airport will continue to serve as a hub for pilgrims airlift in the region.
