ALBUTA is not in our shelter in Bucharest but in a kennel in Sibiu which is in the north of Romania. I am personal friends with a young lady who lives there. Last time we were in Romania Claudia Madalina came all the way down in the train to meet us and help take some dogs out of the public shelter. She is a good kid. She lives with her parents in a small flat and is now the sole earner for the family, working as a travel agent. (Sadly her mum has just been made redundant.) We have helped her out sharing her dogs that she has one by one saved from the streets but now she is stuck as every penny she earns needs to support her family. ALBUTA was friends with Ciuly a lovely big GSD who is now safe in the UK. She was in the public shelter for over a year and Claudia Madalina had one week to save her as her time had come to be killed. ALBUTA desperately needs sponsorship first or a massively experienced home to work with her and show her a way forward. I personally can vouch for this young lady and put anyone in touch who may want further details or thinks they can help. Maybe even just a few people putting in a couple of quid a month could cover her costs until we can find a solution for this little dog who is scared but would come round in the right hands.
