ALERT: So Ive been trying to get to the bottom of the Costco debacle this morning. Rumor has it they have pulled the new book America, Imagine the World Without Her by Dinesh DSouza off their shelves. The rumors have been reported mostly by some rather obscure websites, so I went to the Costco Facebook page to see whats going on over there. Someone named Katherine from Costco has replied to the complaints on that page on this subject by saying: Costco does not make purchasing decisions based on personal or political leanings. Each item we carry must meet sales thresholds in order for us to continue to stock them. We purchased this item with the best intentions when it came out on June 2nd, unfortunately it was not meeting the necessary thresholds and was a part of our normal weekly returns effective July 1, 2014. –Katherine (Costco). Interesting reply. So I think it is safe, for the moment, to assume they are NOT stocking the book any more, according to that post and the rumors might be true. I hope not, because if they are...... Well, might be time to turn in the Costco membership.
