AS THIS REPORT HAS STATED...I HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD ABOUT THIS ON ANY MAJOR NEWS CHANNELS, HOWEVER I HAVE HEARD VIA SEVERAL COMMERCIALS THAT AT THE PRESENT WE HAVE MORE GAS RESERVES THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY! IT GOES ON TO SAY THAT IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS THE U.S. COULD BECOME COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT WITH REGARDS TO OIL; HOWEVER, NEITHER THE NEWS OR THE COMMERCIALS SAY ANYTHING ABOUT 2 TRILLION BARRELS OF OIL RESERVES! AS FAR AS THE SMALL POLITICAL GROUPS STANDING IN THE WAY OF THIS, I AM JUST AS MUCH AGAINST THESE SMALL LEFT WING GROUPS AS I AM THE FAR RIGHT WING GROUPS!!! YES....THERE ARE PLACES IN THIS COUNTRY THAT NEED PROTECTION HOWEVER WE MUST WEIGHT THESE FACTS (2 TRILLION BARRELS OF OIL) AND THE GOOD THAT IT WILL DO FOR THIS COUNTRY AGAINST THE HARM IT MIGHT DO TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND MAKE THE PROPER DECISION! A DECISION THAT TO ME IS A NO BRAINER....WE NEED TO BE OIL INDEPENDENT AND WE NEED THIS FOR OUR OVER ALL ECONOMY! As you may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago. They sent every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota, and several drivers. They also bought two new cranes (one crawler and one rubber tired) for that division. Dave Cruz said they have moved more rigs in the last 6 months in ND than Cruz Construction moved in Alaska in the last 6 years. Williston is like a gold rush town; they moved one of our 40-man camps down there since there are no rooms available. Unemployment in ND is the lowest in the nation at 3.4 percent last I checked. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable (5 billion barrels), at $107 a barrel, were looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakkens massive reserves, and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels.
