ALL INDIA ASSOCIATION OF STATISTICAL INVESTIGATORS (FORMERLY: ALL INDIA ASSOCIATION OF INVESTIGATORS) SUBORDINATE STATISTICAL SERVICE, MINISTRY OF STATISTICS & PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA O/o NSSO (FOD), B/II, C.G.O. Complex, Sanjay Place, Agra (U.P.) Dated : 19.08.2013 LATEST NEWS AND UPDATE on 14.08.2013. The Association delegation led by Shri Gopal Singh, President met with a Director General, NSSO (FOD) in the morning at 10.00 a.m. and discussed several issues related with SSS and FOD. The ADG Shri V.K. Bajaj was kind enough to discuss the issues for more than one hour in the interest of SSS cadre. He expressed his believe that the matter of Field Allowance to FOD Field Functionaries will be resolved and implemented shortly as the matter is pending with the Ministry who has to take final decision on this issue. The Association also submitted a representation demanding implementation of SR-46 in respect of Road Mileage while on tour to the field staff of FOD. He informed that the issue is in his active consideration. The Association also demanded to supply Data Card and Laptop to all SO’s being engaged in the work of ASI. All the Regional Offices and specifically Zonal Offices should be well equipped with wi-fi system. The Association also raised the issue of food bill. It was informed that the ministry has sent the issue of food bill to PMO office. The Association also demanded to allocate the survey work of Annual Survey of Service Sector to SO’s in the interest of quality of data, but the ADG informed that this work may be allocated to ASO’s with supervision by SO’s. On the issue of monetary ceiling of brief case in comparison to MOSPI staff, the AIASI(SSS) demanded a parity in the cost of different items supplied by FOD and MOSPI. The ADG assured the delegation to increase the cost in a phase manner. Regarding transfer power delegated by Ministry to FOD, the Association demanded that own cost transfer should be made on seniority basis. Some special cases of complex conditions of any incumbent on humanitarian ground may also be considered. At last, both the President and General Secretary met with, Shri S.S. Badhawan, Joint Secretary, MOS & PI, Govt. of India and Shri R.S. Yadav, Deputy Secretary, MOS & PI, Govt. of India and discussed several issues of SSS Cadre, specially, regularisation of adhoc promotions of SI Gr.I and Seniority of SSS Incumbents in comparison to JI’s of Labour Bureau. The Transfers of newly recruited SI Gr.-II posted in southern zone, the Association also demanded from Secretary, MOS & PI to call urgent meeting on the issues mentioned above. All members of AIASI(SSS) are hereby requested to escape from rumours and misleading news being spread by Anti-Associational elements. This is issued with the approval of President AIASI(SSS).
