ALL MY FRIENDS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS. I am sure that Geronimo would be so proud to know that so many of you thought of him so kindly and offered kind words to send him on his way. Everyone of you understood that he was more than just a dog to me and also to those of you who had contact with him. In the last 37 years I have only had three dogs, all American Pit Bull Terriers. I had the pleasure of sharing their life for 10 years each for 2 and 16.5 for Geronimo. Phoenix, Abacus and Geronimo were all rescued from destruction and Phoenix was taken out of winnipeg when all Pit Bulls were banned there. Many sacrifices were made including selling our home in Winnipeg at a loss to refusing positions of employment because a Pit bull would be not allowed on site. I willingly accepted this because I strongly believe that when a man makes a commitment to either Partner,family or yes, even a dog he must live up to it regardless of the sacrifice. I feel proud that the friends i have here, some for 40 + years that I have not seen since 1993 and to those who have not met Geronimo or myself were generous in their kind thoughts and sincere feelings.
