ALL OUT FOR JESUS DEVOTIONAL MONDAY MARCH 31 SOMETHING ABOUT A NAME 2Kings 8:1 ¶ Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years. There is something about a name. The woman in this passage was described as the woman, whose son was restored to life. Earlier on, God had used Elisha to restore her son back to life. That testimony had become her description. That testimony had become her expectation. Her description ensured that she enjoyed yet another testimony. She was warned of an impending famine and she escaped it. What do you call yourself? Refuse to let negative circumstances confer on you a name. Call yourself blessed, prosperous, worker for Jesus, soul winner and so on. May you experience whatever glorious name you might call yourself. Anytime a name is called, an invocation is made. Isa 9:6 ... and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father and The Prince of Peace. The names of God demonstrate what we expect of Him and what he can do.
