ALS NEWS ROUNDUP a-love-supreme/roundup.htm MAX CLAYTON ON TRIAL... NEVER TRUST A MAN WITH TWO FIRST NAMES Out of contract Crewe Alexandra striker Max Clayton is currently on trial at Sunderland. The 19 year old is a product of Crewes prestigious youth system and scored in the 2013 Play off final at Wembley for his hometown team. With the Railwaymen going nowhere in a big hurry however, Clayton is to leave in search of a more competitive level of football. With Max being only 19 of course, we will have to pay compensation to take him on, even though hes out of contract. Crewe boss Steve Davis said: They (Sunderland) have spoken to us and as he is out of contract, he can go where he likes. He is within his rights to do that. It will be a type of trial and they will make a decision on him after that. They must be keen on him to have a look at him and if he impresses, I am sure they will come back with an offer. We are due compensation and hopefully something can be decided between the clubs if it comes to that. Newells Old Boys have reportedly bid £1.75m for Nacho Scocco and quite appropriately we have told them to shove it up their bollocks. Strangely, it wasnt a bid for a full transfer, it was in an effort to strike a co-ownership deal. The deals are commonplace in South America and Italy and basically involve two clubs owning a players contract, meaning he can switch between the two clubs during transfer windows. If you are an avid player of Football Manager, you will know they are the devil and are a life ruiner. Jack Rodwell is set for talks over his future at Man City in the coming weeks which could see the club offer him out to Sunderland. Every day is the same transfer news really, Im getting canny bored of filling the round up with the same stuff. I might start serialising my novel in the roundup just to add a bit of variety. My novel is about a boy who supports a football club with no left backs, and his obsession with Danny Collins.
